Ozwald Boateng: king of style / roi du style

English designer of Ghanaian descent Ozwald Boateng was the first black tailor to settle in Savile Row, the london street gathering the best specialists of Bespoke tailoring. Do you know this special technic consisting in designing men’s cloths perfectly fitting to their bodies, with a perfect fall of the suit? Italians and English tailors from Savile Row are masters of this kind. But what makes Ozwald Boateng so special amongst his fellows? He was the first black to open a shop in Savile Row, he has a real, personal style and a contemporary approach to menswear design, using colour for exemple, he‘s elegant, good looking and perfectly wears his own creations.

Créateur anglais d’origine ghanéenne Ozwald Boateng est le premier tailleur noir à s’être installé à Savile Row, la rue londonienne qui regroupe les meilleurs spécialistes  du sur-mesure. Connaissez-vous cette technique particulière qui consiste à ajuster les vêtements selon les mensurations du corps, pour un tombé parfait ?  Les tailleurs italiens et les anglais de Savile Row sont  les maîtres du genre. Ozwald Boateng: from Savile row to Hollywood

Ozwald Boateng managed to improve his style and to become a major designer for men’s clothing.
He was even appointed Creative Director of Menswear at French Fashion house Givenchy during 4 years. He has designed costumes for a lot of movies and is currently dressing the most famous actors of Hollywood. His exceptional story is revealed in the movie “A man’s Story”. Apollo J and Benedi records shake / secouent Conakry

Last april the MANIFEST urban music Festival took place for the 4th time in Conakry, set up by Benedi Records. The aim of this festival is to promote guinean culture.
According to Apollo J "urban music has really developed in Guinea thanks to the improvement of artists inside and outside the country, guinean artists are talented and in collaboration with the  french institute and other partners, the festival will be useful to the artists willing to shine and to be world wide known."

En avril dernier s'est tenue la 4e edition du Festival de musiques urbaines MANIFEST de Conakry organisé par Benedi records. Le but de cette manifestation est de mettre en avant la culture guinéenne. Selon Apollo J "la musique urbaine a beaucoup évolué en Guinée parce que les artistes progressent dans le pays et même à l’extérieur donc les artistes guinéens sont talentueux. En collaboration avec l’institut français et d’autres partenaires, le festival sera utile aux artistes pour sortir de l’ombre et être connus plus largement dans le monde"
